The Water Museum is housed in the old Pump Station, also known as the "Water Machine", which was built in 1925 and is next to the offices of the Water Board of Limassol. The Pumping Station was used to pump large quantities of water from the aquifer of the Garyllis Delta. It was a pioneering water distribution system not only for the data of Cyprus but also for the entire Mediterranean region. All exhibits relate to water, including important archaeological pieces and a series of rare objects used for water abstraction, consumption recording, quality control and other water-related activities.
