The old church of Panagia Faneromeni is located on the homonymous street on the south side of the city of Larnaca, on the road to the salt lake. It was built around 1920 and belongs to the basilica style, cruciform with dome and has two belfry. Remarkable is the fact that just next to the church is an ancient two-carved tomb of 1200 BC, which was later used as a catacomb and as a place of worship for the persecuted Christians. In modern times the site of the tomb was turned into a chapel and a place of pilgrimage for the inhabitants of the province.
